After two years without a parade…it's back on! Join the Irish Congress of Southern California as we host the 40th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival in Balboa Park on Saturday, March 12. The parade starts at 10:30am at Fifth Avenue and Laurel Street.

Celebrate at the First St. Paddy's O'Beach Party

The organizers behind OB Oktoberfest and the legendary OB Street Fair and Chili Cook-off announced their newest beachside event, "St. Paddy's O'Beach Party" on March 19. To celebrate the Irish holiday, the organizers invite the public (21+) to Ocean Beach, where Newport meets the pier, for the all-day and night event!

Kicking-off at 11AM, party-goers can expect live music from local bands and DJs (full lineup and headliner coming soon), green beer, cocktails, and St. Paddy's Day-themed games including; a Corned Beef Invitational cornhole tournament, a pup pageant, Mr. & Ms. Corned Beef contest, "Leprechaun Limbo" and more. The first 500 people will receive a gold coin redeemable for a variety of prizes including cocktails, swag and cash, as well as the opportunity to participate in the first-ever "Guac Off" featuring samples of guacamole from 10 local vendors and a chance to cast a vote for their favorite.

Second Annual Luck O' Loma St. Patrick's Block Party

GoodBar, Point Loma's popular neighborhood bar located at 1872 Rosecrans St., will host the return of Luck O' Loma St. Patrick's Block Party, a lively celebration complete with green beer, festive fare and live entertainment held from noon to 9PM on Saturday, March 12.

Building off of the success of the first Luck O' Loma block party, the second annual block party will provide revelers ages 21 and over the chance to get lucky ahead of St. Patrick's Day with festive drinks, food, live entertainment and more. Returning after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the celebration will include green beer, signature cocktails and festive dishes. Guests will enjoy live bands and local DJs on the outdoor stage, themed games, local vendors and more. Tickets are priced at $10 per person for general admission or $15 per person for general admission and one green beer. Tickets may be purchased online here.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit The Animal Pad, a local nonprofit all breed dog rescue that focuses on saving dogs from high kill shelters and the streets of Mexico. On March 12 and 17, pair your brew with The Deck's Corned Beef Slider special, crafted with housemade corned beef, thousand island dressing, swiss cheese and sauerkraut on marbled rye buns.
